Dressed in intricate masonry, with bold geometric granite floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, and furniture by New York’s AvroKO firm, Publico Ristorante is the perfect marriage of Italy past and present. It’s welcoming dining room, with its twin pizza ovens, and leafy terrace set the scene for the cuisine of executive chef Marco Turatti.
Look out for signature dishes like Risotto “alla Milanese” with saffron, pecorino cheese, and red wine reduction; and wood-fired pizzas including the Baci e Ricotto, with homemade tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, smoked scamorza, shavings of pork belly, and crumbled ricotta.
