Hong Kong’s Prohibition Grill House & Cocktail Bar welcomes a new chef de cuisine and new a la carte menu for Autumn.
It might have been a while since you’ve been to Ocean Park – longer for some than others. However, if you have a hankering for a classic steakhouse experience that keeps you toasty as the mercury drops, Prohibition Grill House & Cocktail Bar at Ocean Park’s Marriott Hotel has launched a new a la carte menu by newly arrived chef Ivan Chan that’s packed with timeless soul-soothing flavours.

Capitalising on his 26 years’ experience, chef Chan’s new menu of American classics will include USDA Prime Black Angus, US ‘Gold Medal’ Wagyu, and Korean 1++ beef cuts, as well as sustainable seafood sourced from WWF Hong Kong-recognised suppliers, refreshing salads, and desserts that will fuel your next sugar rush.
Beef lovers should look out for 12oz corn-fed USDA Prime Black Angus New York strips, 10oz Korean 1++ striploins with perfect marbelling, and an impressive 52oz Peter Luger-style Prime bone-in ribeye that you’ll need to book two days in advance and share with a few hearty fellows who aren’t averse to melted butter or food comas.

For something a little lighter, there’s ahi tuna tartare with yuzu dressing; New Orleans-styled jumbo crab cakes; a house salad of organic greens, wax apple, and tomato; and the artery-clogging but smile-enduing Philly Cheesesteak, served with beer potato chips. There are also classic sides like Lobster Mac & Cheese, creamy corn, and creamy spinach.
Think of it as a way to kick off your winter layer.
