A new Mission Impossible-themed itinerary from travel company Pelorus just might be what the mid-life crisis is asking for.
It could be said that, the older you get, the more unlikely you are to do anything particularly challenging or dangerous on your holidays away. We settle into a routine that seems to soften around the edges, just as we do, and there’s nothing wrong with that. But, just before this metamorphosis begins, there’s often a period when we seek out those last moments of exhilaration, paths to depart from, challenges to be overcome, and opportunities to get the ticker one last jolt.

Fortunately, luxury travel company Pelorus knows about this unique stage in life and has modelled its newest intrepid itinerary – The Norway Assignment: Your Mission Awaits – on the Mission Impossible franchise’s latest chapter – something that, like all of us, must eventually come to an end.
Inspired by Tom Cruise’s daredevil stunts during both the recent Olympics in Paris and in the filming of the 8th Mission Impossible flick, the Norway itinerary is an immersive and adventure-fuelled adventure that takes place in some of the country’s most awe-inspiring landscapes, many of which will make cameos in the new film.

Of course, we wouldn’t dream of you having to tackle being an international man of mystery alone. You’ll be guided by your own Mission Expert, an ex-special forces office, who, with help from the same stunt team that Cruise worked with, will brief you on your series of challenges, which run the gamut from parachuting, and super car racing to weapons-handling and stunt choreography.
Intrigue can be gruelling work but you’ll be able to retire each evening to the same private manor house that Tom Cruise stayed in during filming, with little forays on helicopters and a specialised luxury expedition yacht to keep things interesting.

Each activity on the itinerary, which goes for a cool GBP125,000 (US$160m000) per person (based on four adults travelling together) for nine nights, can be tailored to all ability-levels, creating the perfect immersive adventure for families or lads let loose.
Because even spies need a holiday from time to time.
