Aesop presents Othertopias, a collection of three distinctive unisex fragrance that captures the essence of wild places.
The heat is on, as the classic Glenn Frey song suggests, and that means it’s time for you to double down on your grooming because no one likes a smelly fella.
Fortunately, you’re in luck. Aesop has launched Othertopias, a collection of three distinct and unisex eaux de parfum in collaboration with long-term fragrance partner Barnabé Fillion. Taking their inspiration from ‘the boat’, ‘the shore’ and ‘the wasteland’, three liminal spaces that the brand says invites a dialogue with nature, challenges our perceptions and unlocks reverie, the fragrances – Miraceti, Karst, and Erémia – are a little science and a little fantasy.

Miraceti or ‘The Boat’ pays homage to the serenity and savagery of the sea, with its heady, swirling waves, oscillating horizon, and peaceful yet isolating emptiness. Labdanum hints at old, ocean-worn wood and the faint must of a whisky-filled cellar and, mingled with incense and seaweed on the breeze, the formula calls on ambrette and styrax to round out a warm, woody and nuanced scent.

With its subtle mineral notes, Karst or ‘The Shore’ signals a landscape sculpted by nature’s most skilled architect: water. Understated aromatics and fresh spices imagine the perfume of the air itself, while cumin and sandalwood conjure the salty, metallic notes of a storm rolling in, which we think any land lubbing fille will appreciate.

Beyond the shore, Erémia or ‘The Wasteland’ unfurls with notes of galbanum, iris and yuzu, while striking bright, citrus tones with earthy roots.
Vegan and cruelty-free, Miraceti, Karst and Erémia Eaux de Parfum are each packaged in a 50ml glass bottle and encased in an elegant carton featuring artwork by Belfast-based painter Jack Coulter that’s unique to each fragrance.
