While we’re not ones to shy away from chillier weather, it does pay to be prepared – after all, no one likes being left out in the cold. That said, it’s also a nice time to get out, socialise, embrace the cooler evenings, make travel plans (the powder of Niseko calls to many an urban weary soul), indulge in a little self-pampering and daydream about all that might be.
This month’s hotlist has a little of everything, from essentials to the ethereal, so sit back, soak in the fantasy while adding to your Amazon account and make the most of this cherished time of year, when you leave the sweat behind and before it all turns festive frantic.

Hong Kong’s Cassio Social Club has launched its revitalised outdoor terrace, the perfect spot to soak up the cooler climes over the hotspot’s all-new bar bites menu and a few signature libations curated by its award-winning team.
Capturing Cassio’s blend of retro-futurist design, European elegance and contemporary comfort to perfection, this coveted outdoor space (and let’s be honest, they’re a little short on the ground in Central) perched above Wyndham Street is a welcomed sanctuary for post-work steam-blowing and pre-festive seasonal communality. Featuring lush greenery, intimate seating, and a mood-setting soundscape, you’ll be smart to book well ahead as it’s bound to be popular.
While you’re there, select from the new bar bites menu, created in collaboration with Chicano, one of Hong Kong’s most beloved Mexican eateries. Top recommendations include the spicy tuna tartare, zesty lobster tostadas, crowd-pleasing jalapeño croquettes, and tangy tamarind-glazed ribs, perhaps paired with new cocktails by talented director of bars Rohit Gurung that range from the Tempo Club, a gin-based refresher dressed with peach syrup, lemon juice, sugar, and egg white, to the Onda, dark rum with a dash of lime juice, passionfruit puree, agave, ginger beer, and cucumber notes that will have you thinking you’ve just arrived in paradise.

Chic Big Apple Digs
If you have Manhattan in your sights this winter, you might want to book a room at the new Faena New York, the city’s newest design-driven boutique hotel.
Perched in the shadow of West Chelsea’s High Line, where the city’s pulse quickens with street art and skyline swagger, Faena New York is the BIg Apple’s newest temple to unapologetic luxury, a 120-room boutique hideaway that channels hotelier Alan Faena’s Argentine flair into a gilded fever dream, complete spiraling gold staircase, 24-karat ceilings, Keith Haring masterpieces, and murals bursting with blood-red roses and leopard prowls.
Rooms promise to be sanctuaries of seduction so expect plush textiles, marble baths and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame Hudson River or Empire State vistas. Downstairs, you’ll sip classic libations in the Art Deco cocktail bar (be sure to sample your way through its rare whisky collection if you’re on the company’s dime) before slipping into chic Argentine grill hotspot La Boca, the new home to Chelsea’s beautiful. A cabaret theater and an epic spa loom will arrive in 2026.
