Ever wished you could change the fit of your shoe with the touch of a button? You’re in luck – the new Nike Adapt Huarache sneakers let you do just that.
Drawing inspiration from the original Huarache sneakers that debuted in 1991, these new kicks echo the first edition’s minimalist branding and aquatic looks. The 2019 model also takes the snug fit and durable exoskeleton of the original neoprene booties and brings them into the 21st century with the patented Nike Fitadapt lacing system.
Originally debuted in the HyperAdapt training shoe and Adapt BB basketball shoe, the latest version of FitAdapt gives users a greater range of customisation and adaptability for different environments and situations.
The technology can be controlled through the Nike Adapt app, which will feature a Huarache-specific themed interface, along with several preset fit recommendations for different foot types and activities. With the click of a button, your shoes can go from a tighter fit for athletic endeavours to a looser lacing for lounging.
The iOS app will be available for use on the iPhone, but users will also be able to control their sneakers through their Apple Watch and Siri, giving them complete flexibility.
The Nike Adapt Huarache will be available at select retailers from September 13.
