Montblanc introduces the On the Move cross-category collection designed to inspire people to leave their mark by moving through life with purpose and style.
Sure, the past few years might have been like swimming in gravy but the world has opened up and now we need to return to the frantic pace of pre-covid times, even if we’re doing so from our home office. Designed to meet the needs of lads on the go, Montblanc’s new On the Move cross-body collection employs advanced new technologies to ensure its products are functional while travelling.
Featuring writing instruments, leather goods, connected technologies and timepieces, the collection includes the newly added Montblanc Extreme 3.0 leather goods, which have been conceived as companions for urban exploration that withstand the demands of everyday travel by pushing the boundaries of technical innovation. In its latest evolution, the Montblanc Extreme 3.0 collection features a new leather design, original formats and detailing, and a focus on minimizing environmental impact by using leather obtained from a CO2-neutral tanning process and lining made from recycled fibres.
Montblanc Extreme 3.0 is made up of a selection of different shapes, sizes and functions in signature Montblanc Black and an eye-catching British Green, designed to fit the lifestyles of those for whom every day is not about routine, but about adventure, whether at work or at play. Three bags and a belt in the collection feature an innovative M Lock 4810 closure inspired by the climbing world and presented with a bold black finish.
The StarWalker BlackCosmos explores the aspirational theme of mobility telling the story of humankind’s fascination with space exploration and the wonder of walking among the stars. The writing instruments feature a new surface treatment that evokes the compact and rocky surface of terrestrial planets and yet undiscovered planets in the darkness of the cosmos.
New additions include an all-black Precious Resin Edition with PVD-coated metal fittings; a Doué Edition with a precious resin barrel paired with a needled metal cap; and a Metal edition featuring the needled metal effect throughout. Each edition features a translucent dome featuring a floating Montblanc emblem above a grey base and is available as a Fountain Pen, Fineliner and Ballpoint.
The Montblanc Summit 3 Smartwatch addresses the need for more connectivity through technology for those constantly on the move. The latest iteration of the brand’s signature smartwatch, the new smartwatch is an expression of elevated luxury with a case crafted in precious hand-brushed titanium, and configurable watch faces rich in details paired with calf leather and rubber straps. The Summit 3 smartwatch incorporates the latest Wear OS by Google and curated apps to meet the functional needs of its owner.
The lineup includes three versions of the smartwatch: Titanium Grey paired with black calf and blue rubber straps; Titanium Black paired with black calf and black rubber straps; and Titanium Bicolor paired with a Montblanc Extreme 3.0 British green calf leather strap and black rubber straps, while the personalization options are extensive.
The new Montblanc 1858 GMT Automatic Date is about living life through time zones, with a watch function that shows the time in two different places at the same time without hands. The ingenious system indicates
the second time zone with a red square that moves around the outside of the dial, positioned next to a fixed black or blue anodized aluminium bezel that shows the 24-hour clock so the user immediately knows if it is day or night in the second time zone too.
It comes in a 42 mm stainless steel case with a choice of a black or blue sunray dial, both of which are adorned with blue luminescent hands and indexes, accompanied by a tapered, interchangeable, stainless steel bracelet with a fine adjustment system for precision fitting, which can be switched out for a black or blue rubber strap in seconds. The titanium engraved case back shows the planet’s continents and oceans, along with the names of cities in each of the 24 time zones, offering a worldtime indication.
