Opening its psychedelic doors this month, Mondrian Doha brings the US brand’s signature style to the Middle East for the first time.
Designed in collaboration with South West Architecture and Marcel Wanders, the lavish 270-room Mondrian Doh will be the acclaimed Dutch designer’s first hotel in the region and will feature bold yet elegant local touches, many inspired by the timeless tale of One Thousand and One Nights.
While standard rooms are eye-catching and elegant, ballers should make for the two-level SkyHouse, located on the 23rd floor. With stunning 360-degree views of Doha and the Persian Gulf, the suite boasts a living room, two king bedrooms, one twin bedroom, a dining room, an entertainment room, a butler/chef/maid room on the ground floor, and a lift connecting the two floors (or you could take the ‘floating’ staircase instead).

From the spectacular spiral staircase adorning the lobby atrium to the stained-glass dome crowning the rooftop pool and skybar, the Mondrian Doha promises to impress.
Boasting five room categories including sublime penthouse suites, the new oasis will combine elements of traditional Arabic culture, presented in a bodacious, eye-catching design that’s symbolic of the city’s rapid rise in fortunes.

With eight restaurants and bars, dining will be a core feature of the new hotel; be sure to keep a keen eye out for gourmet dining from Wolfgang Puck and Japanese chef Masaharu Morimoto, full wall mosaics in the 1,950sqm ESPA wellness enclave (the world’s largest), and Swarovski chandeliers in every guestroom.
