Hong Kong craft soda company Mindful Sparks offers an enticing series of non-alcoholic beverages for your 2022 health kick.
If the turbulent year that was has taught you anything, it might be to be more mindful about what you’re putting into your body. Suddenly, when you’re not knocking them back every Friday and Saturday night, you realise that there’s (almost) as much sociality in a non-alcoholic beverage as there is in your usual poison, and certainly a far sunnier morning the next day.

The global growth in low and no-ABV drinks has given birth to innovative soda companies and here in Hong Kong, that scene is defined by Mindful Sparks, which recently upped its game with the opening of a new production facility.
If you haven’t discovered Mindful Sparks yet you’re in for a treat. Founded by local nutritionist Winston Lau, the Hong Kong-produced craft soda brand has slowly been building a cult following since it launched last year with its signature range. For something light and fruity, you can’t go past Passion Gone? (because you know that can happen when you drink) a passion fruit and green tea sparkling mocktail; or Blue? a sparkling rose and butterfly pea flower sin-free concoction.

Alternatively, the Mindful Sparks Tea House line includes two cold brew options: Sparkling Early Grey and Sparkling Pu’er, both of which are great straight from the bottle or over ice.
As you can imagine, the company is always innovating and experimenting, and its Limited Collection – the glorious results of all that trial and error – includes Sparkling Yuzu Genmaicha, a Houjicha Vanilla Ice-cream Seltzer, Sparkling Peach Earl Grey, and Sparkling Pear Lime Cinnamon. Also look out for seasonal products like the Liquid Gingerbread Man, which combines seltzer with dark, warming spices for those cooler months.

Great as a healthy non-alcoholic option, you can also use Mindful Sparks sodas as a creative base for your own spiked creations.
