What’s better than having a luxury yacht? How about playing golf off that back of it? Metal Yacht Golf has arrived in Hong Kong.
Next week Hong Kong will host its first Metal Yacht Golf event. Presented by luxury watch brand Hublot, the 2018 Metal Yacht Golf, an event created by both Premier Live and partner M Yachts, combines a round of golf at Hong Kong’s beautiful coastal golf course, Clearwater Bay, with the unique experience of hitting from luxury yachts onto floating greens around Hong Kong Island.

On April 26, players will participate in 18 holes of golf at arguably Hong Kong’s finest golf course, The Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club. But the real fun begins on the water, when participants will take part in fun beach golf challenges in and around Sai Kung’s secluded beaches, followed the next day by a round played from the transoms of 100-foot luxury Accelera yachts, with swing monkeys aiming for floating greens around Hong Kong island.
Metal Yacht Golf will be using EcoBioBalls provided by sponsor Albus Golf. These ecological and biodegradable golf balls start to break down as soon as they are submerged in the water.

Proceeds from the event, as well as a portion of each player’s entry fee, will go to supporting local based Hong Kong charities, including Friends of Asia, Hong Kong, which provides resources, care, and opportunity to those in need, with programming centered around sports, health and recreation; and Kids4Kids, which aims to develop social awareness and responsibility by providing platforms that empower kids to enact positive change in their community.
The winners of the event will enjoy a trip to the world’s most exclusive golf pro-am event, the 2018 Manuka Doctor Necker Open presented by Metal, which just announced its new Metal Pay cryptocurrency app. There they will play multiple rounds of golf on exclusive courses with legends and tour pros. Past pros and celebrities have included the likes of Greg Norman, Bryson DeChambeau, Austin Cook, Michael Campbell, Jamie Foxx, Sean Paul, Jimmy Buffett, and Sir Richard Branson.
