Tucked away in the mountains of Chiba, outside Tokyo, Magarigawa will be Asia’s first private driving club when it opens in late 2022.
Are you one of those lads that get sweaty at the very mention of motor racing? Do you drink in high-octane and spend your weekends behind the wheel of your own automotive steed, (or at the very least at the controls during a Gran Turismo marathon)? If you live and breathe the driving experience, this just might be the club for you.

Construction has begun at The Magarigawa Club, a truly unique driving club, road course, and engine-revving destination that will offer experiences unattainable at other racing circuits. Nestled in the valleys of Minamiboso, and scheduled to open in late 2022, this exclusive driving centre features a 3.5-kilometer driving course, stylish restaurant, bar, lounge, fitness centre, hot springs bathhouse, and even hiking trails for when you’re waiting for your next hot lap.
The Club’s driving course was designed by the world-renown team at Tilke Engineers & Architects and in addition to a maximum ascent of 20 percent, and a maximum descent of 16 percent, the circuit boasts an 800-meter long straight, making it a track like no other in the world. Designed to be both challenging and safe, the circuit lets members focus on the driving experience, behind the wheel of their own cars, which can also be stored at the state-of-the-art pit building, which boasts ‘owner’s paddocks’, with room for four cars, a private dining area, and a terrace with views to Mt Fuji.

If you’ve already invested in a whip and would like to master the art of motor racing, one-on-one lessons with professional racing drivers will be available, and afterward, you’ll be able to share stories of redlining it down the straight at the clubhouse bar, elegant restaurant, mineral baths, and 25-meter swimming pool.
But you’ll need to wait a little longer as you’re not alone in your passion for all things piston-driven – the first round of applications for membership are already sold out.
