Luxury fashion house LV has taken one of its most iconic luggage lines and added a touch of cold hard metal with its new Louis Vuitton Titane Collection.
If you’re looking for durability – we’re talking stumbling through the Arctic or a Central African jungle durable – then Louis Vuitton might not be your first luggage choice. Yes, the house has produced iconic luggage pieces since its first steamer trunks crossed the Atlantic, but they have always stood apart from other brands that constructed check-in cases that could stand a direct nuclear hit. Until now.
Louis Vuitton has lent its monogram to a new rendition of its instantly recognizable Bisten suitcase, this time in the rock-solid titanium of the Louise Vuitton Titane Collection. The luxury brand’s mark is laser etched onto the new metal exterior, which is accentuated by fittings in ruthenium that include a secure key lock and two side clasps. There’s also a handle in cowhide leather. Within, the minimalist design continues with microfiber lining in pearl grey.
The new suitcases are available in three sizes ranging from 50-inches to 60-inches, with a price tag that’s north of US$46,000. Just in case you were in the market for indestructible luxury luggage.
