A new concept at one Michelin-starred Louise, La Terrace by Louise is where you’ll be catching summertime vibes this season.
Ah, summertime in the Great Kong, you can love it or hate it. Sure the humidity spikes and the sweat flows like a Greek orgy, but for those that embrace alfresco living and balmy evenings filled with possibility, we have a new spot that you might want to examine.

Led by new executive chef Loïc Portalier, La Terrace by Louise is an elegant little addition to Louise, one of the city’s top dining destinations. Taking its place on the patio of the Aberdeen Street locale, the new garden lounge promises to showcase the freshest seasonal produce and the timeless elegance of French cuisine – think of it as a little nod to the South of France is our own little SoHo.
You’ll likely find yourself here for post-coal face libations, or for cheeky lingering Friday afternoon lunches, thanks to its ambiance, which is more laid back than the refined dining venue upstairs, and which serves up a delectable array of 21 dishes – think crispy Mimolette “Arancini”, shrimp toast topped with lemon and pike caviar; and pineapple and tomato liberally doused with a yellow peach and basil dressing.

If you’re arriving a little later in the day, you might sample the artisanal cheese selection, or tease your sweet tooth with the likes of the vanilla, pecan and chocolate combo.
All this garden party refinement is complemented by an intriguing list of wines and sun-kissed cocktails – we’re rather partial to the barrel-aged Louise Negroni, a distinctive blend of Citadelle gin, St. George coffee liqueur, Rosso Vermouth and Campari; and the refreshing La Petanque, featuring Wedges London Dry Gin, Ricard, Orgeat, lime and apple juice, which promises to beat the heat faster than a naked ice bath in the Sahara.
