Paying tribute to the iconic Jaguar E-type on its 60th anniversary, Bremont has created a rather striking limited-edition box set.
Take a leap back in time, to the raging 60s, and you would have found lads not so unlike you, with posters of the iconic Jaguar E-type on their walls or, if they were doing exceptionally well, parked in their garage. First launched at the Geneva Motor Show in 1961, the Jaguar E-type had a revolutionary effect on the sportscar scene and was described by Enzo Ferrari as the most beautiful car ever made. That’s saying something.

Paying tribute to this uber-sexy coupe, British watch brand Bremont has created an exclusive limited-edition box set. Each set includes one of the two different coloured bezel chronographs, 60 pieces in green and 60 in grey, as well as Bremont‘s first-ever rally timer, which integrates two mechanical instruments, a stopwatch with a tachymeter on the left, as well as a clock with sub-seconds on the right. Both are mounted on a beautiful engine-turned back-plate, which can be displayed on an elegant desktop stand or can be fitted into a customer’s car.
The 43mm limited edition Bremont E-type Jaguar watches draw direct inspiration from the car itself. The watches feature a black dial inspired by the E-type’s instrument gauges, while the chamfered hour and minute hands replicate the car’s tachometer needle. The bezel and strap colours match the E-type 60 Edition pantones of ‘Flat Out Grey’ and ‘Drop Everything Green’. In addition, the winding crown is engraved with the pattern of the period-correct Dunlop racing tyres fitted to the E-type.
Turning the watches over reveals a further reference to the car in the form of the automatic winding rotor, visible through a sapphire crystal case back, taking the form of an exquisite miniaturisation of an alloy-spoked E-type steering wheel.
Obviously, it’s a big year for Jaguar, who have also created six matched pairs of the car in a series called The E-type 60 Collection. These six pairs of beautifully designed commemorative cars are being built for six owners to enjoy by a hand-picked team at Jaguar Classic and pay tribute to two of the
oldest and most famous Jaguar E-types of all: the 9600 HP and the 77 RW, which played pivotal roles in the unveiling of the car in Geneva.

In addition, to toast your new watch set, The Glenturret E-type 60th Anniversary Single Malt Scotch Whisky has been crafted at Scotland’s oldest working distillery to evoke the E-type’s charisma and spirit. Each bottle bears a design from Jaguar Classic and is presented in a custom wooden box together with a bespoke book and key ring.
Sounds like a match made in automotive heaven.
