Designed by architect Robert Trent Jones II, the full 18-hole course conforms fully to the sustainability guidelines laid out by the UK’s GEO Foundation. The project was realised by a team from Hong Kong-based course builder
Six of the 18 holes at Hoiana Shores are directly linked to the beach, giving golfers the chance to play shots directly off the sands. Greens here are grassed with Tif-Eagle Bermuda, but fairways and tees feature Zeyon Zoysia, a unique drought-tolerant turfgrass that is sustainable and provides firm, fast conditions in equatorial regions.
