The exclusive suite, named for one of Russia’s most influential dynasties, consists of two bedrooms, which sleep up to four guests; a lounge/dining room; and a private kitchen where your personal chef does a pretty decent borscht. The suite’s master bedroom is equivalent to the Golden Eagle’s Imperial Suite, at 120sqft, and includes a king-size bed, private en-suite bathroom, and remote controlled air-conditioning and heating.
The smaller second bedroom, at half the size, is comparable to the Golden Eagle’s Silver Class cabin, with a small lower double bed, a single bunk-style upper bed, and a private en-suite bathroom/wet room. Perks of your new regal abode include complimentary mini-bar, private guiding, and chauffeur in the destinations visited along the way, and laundry service, which comes in handy with Trans-Siberian transits taking as long as 17 days.

The new carriage coincides with the train’s recently sprucing up of the Bar Lounge Car and the cabins of its other classes. The Romanov Suite will be available on all Trans-Siberian routes from June 2018 and is priced from GBP66,495 (US$94,850) per couple for the 11,000km two-week trip.
