Hong Kong’s newest cocktail hideaway, Room 309, taps into the captivation. Located at boutique hotel The Pottinger, in Central, the new bar is the latest innovation by mixology maestro Antonio Lai, the visionary behind favourite haunts like Quinary, The Envoy, and VEA Restaurant & Lounge.
In keeping with the hotel theme, arriving punters must first ‘check-in’ at reception, where they are given a room key with which to access the chic and discrete parlor beyond. Richly decorated interior with antique brass fixtures, stately writing desk, and formal stationery, invitation-only Room 309 calls to mind a hotel room where travellers, be it a poet, playwright or intellectual, might find inspiration.
