Perhaps you’ve heard of Frank Minza, the fictional character around which Hong Kong’s vintage-esqu Foxglove cocktail bar was themed. Well, he’s at it again, with the arrival of Frank’s Library.
Led by bar manager Derek Tsui, Frank’s Library is essentially a bar within a bar, a secreted corner of Foxglove that’s home to the city’s most elusive cocktail list. Inspired by Frank’s globe-trotting adventures around the world, Frank’s Library‘s cocktail menu takes its cues from the protagonist’s travels, with drinks made from the freshest ingredients and house-infused premium spirits.
There’s six new libations on the Library’s reading list, each more creative than the last. The Savoy Truffle, for example, features oolong house-infused gin and honey water with a cream cheese foam; while the Mad Tea-Party marries Johnnie Walker Black Label with fresh apple juice, cold brew Earl Grey tea and caramel syrup.

In addition, the Catch of TEA is an exotic mix of Teeling small-batch whiskey, Tieguanyin tea syrup, citrus acid, and chocolate bitters; while the Gummibär is a refreshing blend of Osmanthus-infused Tanqueray gin, goji liquor, lemon juice, honey water, and Angostura bitters.
Barrel-aged cocktails also make the list, with the Barrel-aged Vieux Carre showcasing signature barrel-ageing techniques within a complex cocktail of Hennessy VSOP, Bulleit rye whiskey, Antica Formula, Cocchi Barolo Chinato, Angostura bitters and Peychaud’s bitters.
