The annual Four Pillars Australian Christmas Gin is one of our favourite festive season traditions.
There are many ways we can tell the festive season is on its way. The temperature cools, workloads seem to reduce, office party invites go out, carols start playing in the malls and one of Australia’s favourite gin brands, Four Pillars, releases its ode to an Australian Christmas.

Four Pillars has a long history of creating limited-edition gin releases but its Christmas Gin has become a true collector’s edition. To make this special spirit, distiller Cameron MacKenzie distills Christmas pudding gin, which is then aged for a whole year in 80-year-old Muscat barrels.
Inspired by Cam’s late mother Wilma, who would make Christmas puddings (made according to the original 1968 Australian Women’s Weekly recipe) on Victoria Derby Day, and bottled at a soul-warming ABV48.3%, Four Pillars Australian Christmas Gin is produced in a still named for Wilma and features a sneaky little hit of Rutherglen Muscat, making a gin that’s packed with juniper and cinnamon notes and that’s perfect for sipping or for making a unique take on a classic Martinez.

The bottle comes lovingly wrapped in the artwork of Cairns-based Andrea Huelin, who has created a typical Aussie summer Christmas scene – complete with prawns and pavlova – in vibrant shades that will ensure the bottle leaves it mark on your home bar.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
