New Soho eatery Filo Cibo e Vino takes diners on a gastronomic journey of Italy’s esteemed capital of food, Parma.

Named for Chef Patron Filippo Bencini’s nickname, Filo Cabo e Vino has opened in the heart of Soho, with a focus on bringing people together over good Northern Italian food and wine. While this is casual Italian dining, guests can expect a carefully orchestrated dining experience, one where the origin story of dishes and ingredients are brought to light, adding depth and creativity.

The menu includes starters, which are ideal for sharing, as well as a selection of hand-made pasta dishes, hearty meat and seafood mains, and concludes with a neat selection of desserts. Known for using quality ingredients sustainably sourced from Italy – straight from local farms to its tables – Filo’s Team ensures that all dishes emphasise seasonal and rustic elements all year round.

Highlights include traditional cold cuts from Parma such as the Culatello di Zibello Dallatana oltre 21 Mesi, Culatello ham aged over 21 months with a unique sweet-musky flavour and a velvety texture; Burrata Fritta e Salsa di Pomodoro, fried burrata with tomato and basil sauce; Pancia di Maiale Arrosto con Puree e Mostarda, roasted pork belly with mashed potato and candied fruit; and Cacciucco alla Livornese, Sicilian red prawns, mussels, seabass, octopus and calamari in a rich seafood stew.

All of Filo’s pasta are made fresh in-house every day: Not to be missed are the Tortelli di Zucca Nocciola e Salvia pumpkin ravioli with hazelnut and sage; Spaghetti al Gambero Rosso di Mazara Del Vallo, Sicilian red prawns and tomato spaghetti; and Brasato di Manzo al Barolo e Polenta braised beef in Barolo wine and polenta.

To end on a sweet note, Filo offers classic Italian delights. A must-try is its signature Filippo’s Tiramisu using Filippo’s family’s recipe, and Panna Cotta al Cioccolato Bianco e Frutti Rossi, white chocolate panna cotta with a strawberry sponge, served with raspberry sauce.
