The new eScooter from Mercedes-Benz combines German engineering with a street-ready design for today’s urban racer.

Now, we’re not here to judge; if walking has simply become too arduous for you and driving on the road too dangerous, and if your childhood is closer in your mind than it is on your medical records, then OK, a scooter is probably a good fit. However, there are scooters and then there are scooters, and the latter just might give you some of the street creds the former would most certainly take away.

Mercedes-Benz has added an eScooter to its line up of battery-operated people movers. With a top speed of 19km/ph and a range of 24 clicks, you won’t be breaking any land speed records with this stylish two-wheeler, but nor will you be scuffing your kicks on the concrete jungle like the masses.

Foldable, lightweight, and developed in collaboration with Swiss mobility company Micro Mobility Systems, the eScooter is designed to get you to where you’re going a little quicker, and a little less sweaty.

Of course, this is a Merc, so you’ll also ride in style, with built-in suspension and thick rubber wheels that help tame the terrain, while a full battery charging time of just three hours does make it ideal for daily commutes.

Time to start living a proud scooter guy lifestyle.
