This month, Hong Kong’s Club Rangoon collaborates with Salotto Lounge to host a ‘Drink For Justice’ fundraising event.
The event, held on June 19 at 7pm, is part of an ongoing series that aims to support just causes in Hong Kong, including the only refugee-led charity organization, Refugee Union and will be held just in time for World Refugee Day on June 20.
Andrea Motisi from Salotto Lounge, a supplier that works exclusively with Italian products, and Club Rangoon’s bar team have created three classic cocktails, each with a unique Burmese twist.

The Americano Iced Tea is an enticing tipple made with T+ black tea amaro, Berto Bianco Vermouth and a splash of house-made lime soda; while the Bodega in Yangon is a refreshing cocktail that includes lemongrass-infused Casta Grappa, lime juice, coriander, chili syrup and is topped with pilsner; and the Nway Oo – meaning ‘start of summer’ – combines Alamea Spiced Rum with Alamea Pimento, mango shrub, lime juice and demerara sugar.
By supporting Drink For Justice, Club Rangoon’s guests can take part in a meaningful event and assist in providing refugees in Hong Kong with a platform to showcase their talents, empower their peers and foster solidarity.

For one night only, these three Burmese-Italian cocktails will be shaken and stirred behind the bar, where HK$10 of each drink will be donated to Refugee Union.
