In the latest meeting of luxury minds, rock god meets vintage bubbles in an inspiring creative collaboration. We give you the Dom Pérignon x Lenny Kravitz Limited Edition bottle.
It’s always nice to be recognized for your talents, especially for those for which you’re not already known. Sure, you might be a financial whizz kid that brings in the big bucks for your firm, but does anyone give you credit for your barbequing skills? We think perhaps not.
Lenny Kravitz, the rock crooner that’s had the masses tapping their steering wheels and swaying at the ironing board for decades now, has once again teamed up with champagne’s top drop, this time to create a limited-edition bottle, just in time for the onslaught of Christmas shopping.
In the brand’s latest collaboration, a limited collection of bottles and a candelabra box-cum-table-bar were created to interpret the singular atmosphere that surrounds tasting champagne. The Lenny Kravitz Limited Edition Gift Box elevates the iconic label by borrowing from the craft of goldsmiths to work hammered metal on the surface of the shield adorning bottles of Vintage 2008 and Rosé Vintage 2006, creating a patina that lends the metal an inalterable contemporary vibe.
For something a little flashier, the Candelabra Box, created by Kravitz for the Vintage 2008 magnum, transforms into a candelabra to complete the Dom Pérignon ritual and heighten the moment. The “slightly brutalist” piece – a balanced expression of masculine and feminine – emerges from a velvet lined case. Inspired by snakeskin (a material favoured by rock legends), the texture of the box and the grapevines engraved around the label of the bottle reveal the creative hand of an artist engaged with naturalist elements.
The Dom Pérignon x Lenny Kravitz limited editions will initially be available at Lane Crawford before being rolled out to retail outlets across the region.
Dom makes the bubbles, Kravitz sets the scene. All you have to do is pour the wine, light the candle and see where the mood takes you.
