BlockBar continues its luxury spirit collaboration with the new Dictador Generations en Lalique NFT Gift Set.
You might have read recently that Scotch whisky producer Glenfiddich has created a new NFT whisky release in conjunction with new luxury liquor NFT marketplace BlockBar. Well, if you’re more a rum guy, you’re in luck with the arrival of Dictador Generations en Lalique.

The Columbian rum producer has produced ten limited-edition bottles of 1976 Dictador Generations, one of the oldest rums in history. This precious liquid, which will be available on the BlockBar platform, will be presented in a stunning Lalique decanter.
In addition, the set consists of a personalised expositor, opened with a thumbprint and equipped with professional lighting to accentuate the beauty of the decanter; a sketch of the bottle’s design signed by Marc Larminaux, Lalique’s Head Designer; and an album titled How Was it Made?, signed by both Larminaux and Master Blender Hernan Parra.

Additionally, for the first time ever, Dictador has decided to invite outsiders into the world of their brand – an experience that is normally unobtainable. As a part of the offer, the purchaser will receive hotel accommodation, a visit to the Cartagena distillery, and an invitation to a private dinner for two with Parra that includes a tasting of the finest spirits from the Parra family’s collection.
Of course, this is more than just good rum. For those who purchase this unique presentation (for US$25,000 per bottle via Ethereum or credit card), BlockBar offers an NFT which serves as a digital receipt verifying ownership and the authenticity of the product. The buyer has the opportunity to resell or transfer the NFT through the BlockBar platform at any time, or redeem it for the physical bottle, which is securely stored by BlockBar and available for delivery anywhere in the world.

Vintage rums are extremely rare and in limited quantities worldwide, with luxury spirits a growing focus in the auction market, reaching increasingly large values and attracting global investment. In March 2021, another unique decanter of Dictador Generations En Lalique sold at Sotheby’s for US$41,950, so you know you’ll always be in good company.
