A spectacular example of the watch maker’s art, the new Corum Admiral AC-ONE 45 Openworked Tourbillon introduces an exquisitely crafted skeletonised dial and tourbillon to the Admiral collection.
Founded in 1955 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, Corum has made creativity and daring its guiding principles. The brand’s acclaimed Admiral collection has been sailing the seas for more than 50 years.
Boasting the Admiral AC-ONE Openworked Tourbillon, the new piece is powered by the calibre CO 298, a movement developed by Corum specifically for this model.
Pushing the boundaries of creativity, the bridges of the Corum Admiral AC-ONE 45 Openworked Tourbillon, visible on the dial side, were specially designed to be in harmony with the dodecagonal-shaped case, as well as the silhouettes of the nautical pennants. The power reserve indicator sits at 3 o’clock, a tourbillon lies at the 6 o’clock position while a sub-dial displaying small seconds is at the 9 o’clock position.
This new timepiece showcases not only the beautiful heartbeat of the movement but also Corum’s technical flare. The addition of a tourbillon also ensures higher accuracy in timekeeping under conditions at sea.
The Admiral AC-ONE Openworked Tourbillon also features a redesigned strap. Crafted with rubber and synthetic textile, the bi-material strap has been designed to seamlessly integrate with the timepiece’s lugs. This minimises any gaps between lugs, strap and wrist, making the watch more comfortable and protecting it from damage.
The new addition to the Admiral collection is limited to just 18 pieces.
