Have you ever had aspirations for cinematic greatness? Do you break out in a sweat at the very thought of cut
Sister hotels COMO Uma Paro and COMO Uma Punakha have partnered with Natural World Safaris and British-American photographer and Kodak Ambassador Michael Turek to launch Bhutan’s first Film and Photography Expedition from June 2-9, 2019.
The eight-day Film & Photography Expedition itinerary will give guests the opportunity to experience and capture the beauty of Bhutan through the lens of a film camera with the guidance of Turek, who will share his methods of shooting on film, a medium that encourages photographers to be present in the moment, and to capture their surroundings with deliberation and intention.

Guests will spend five nights at COMO Uma Paro and two nights at COMO Uma Punakha and will get to journey deep into the kingdom’s heartland to explore three distinctly different but important valleys: the bustling capital of Thimphu with its monuments, museums and markets; the sub-tropical Punakha Valley with its magnificent dzongs or traditional forts; and the emerald valley of Paro, with its rice paddies and ancient temples.
Other highlights include walks along winding rivers to sacred monasteries and temples that cling to sheer cliffs faces as well as spectacular drives through mountain passes. The magic light of Bhutan will come alive on treks along forest trails lined with fluttering prayer flags.

From US$7,600 per person for single accommodation or US$5,800 per person twin share, including full board, private guiding, a 60 minute COMO Shambhala body treatment, airport transfers, and government fees.
