Award-winning Casamigos Tequila is the result of three friends – Michael Meldman, George Clooney, and Rande Gerber – being fussy. Essentially they had travelled to Mexico many times to sate their thirst for agave spirit only to decide in the end to make their own. Made with 100 percent Weber Blue Agave, which is raised in the red clay of the Jalisco Highlands and lovingly slow-roasted for three days in traditional brick ovens before being crushed and fermented for eighty hours using a secret blend of yeast strains, Casamigos Reposado is aged seven months in “reconditioned” ex-Bourbon casks to offer a kaleidoscope of flavours.
Whether you’re serving it on the rocks, in a shot glass or as the base of a classic Margarita, you’ll find plenty of agave, smoke and vanilla on the nose, as well as caramel, brown butter and tobacco on the palate, just where it’s supposed to be.
