Breitling walks the fine line between performance and style with the newest addition to its professional range, the Endurance Pro.
Once upon a time, timepieces fell into pretty distinct categories. There were watches for the office and watches for the pub, watches for the sea and the air, for the trail, and for more formal occasions. The dramatic growth in both the sports-tracking and smartwatch markets has meant that the walls between these traditional categories are falling, and it’s now ok to sport a neon band in the boardroom or a digital face with refind Roman numerals.

The newest addition to its Professional collection – watches traditionally designed to tackle the harshest elements on the wrists of explorers and adventurers – the Breitling Endurance Pro is just such a transformative timepiece. Boasting a thermo-compensated SuperQuartz movement (ten times more accurate than a regular Quartz movement), the new ‘athleisure’ watch is lightweight enough to wear on a run, and bold enough to catch all the right kind of attention on the street.
Inspired by the needs of athlete Jan Frodeno, the first member of the watch brand’s Triathlon Squad, and marrying precision engineering and a lighthearted aesthetic, the Endurance Pro’s ultralight 44mm case in black, with black bidirectional rotating compass bezel, takes its design cues from the Breitling Sprint, a memorable watch from the 1970s that combined a pulsometer with impressively lightweight construction.
Constructed in Breitlight, a robust, ultra-light, nonmagnetic, thermally stable, and hypoallergenic material 3.3 times lighter than titanium and 5.8 times lighter than stainless steel, the case houses a COSC-certified Breitling Caliber 82 movement that promises exceptional precision.

The hour and minute hands of the dial are coated with Super-LumiNova, making them legible even in limited lighting conditions, while the chronograph second hand has a red pointer, making it easy to keep track of the elapsed time. Along with a small-second subdial, there are 1/10th second and 30-minute chronograph counters that have also been designed for easy reading.
Available in five impactful colours, the Endurance Pro features an inner bezel marked with a pulsometer scale in white, blue, yellow, orange, or red, and a Diver Pro rubber strap, secured with a Breitlight double-pin buckle, in the same color as the inner bezel ring. The watch also has a tactile molded crown in the same color as the strap and the inner bezel ring for excellent grip and maneuverability.
