This Easter, make for the beach with special Aussie-inspired menus at Bathers on Hong Kong’s Lantau Island.
Inspired by the best waterfront restaurants Down Under, Bathers reinvents the Hong Kong beachfront restaurant concept with an enviable location, al fresco dining, and friendly service, and this Easter long weekend, the Lower Cheung Sha Beach hotspot will be serving a special menu laced with the bounty of both land and sea.
The Bathers breakfast menu will be available from Thursday to Tuesday, April 1 to 6, from 9 am to 11 am, with classic dishes like French toast with fresh berries, Greek yoghurt and vanilla syrup; toasted sourdough with fresh avocado, tomatoes, chilli and poached egg; house-cured salmon served with toasted sourdough and scrambled eggs; the Lantau Big Start, with house-made pork sausage, smoked bacon, grilled tomato, mushrooms, poached egg and toasted sourdough starting from HK$85.
For later in the day, look out for flavour-packed salads, cervices, and appetizers, including roast scallops served with cauliflower and smoked paprika butter; and poached salmon served with mixed greens, grilled corn, shaved radish and a soft boiled egg.
There’s also classic beach fare, such as beer-battered barracuda and salt and pepper squid, grilled octopus with confit potato, rocket, almonds and olive tapenade; a Wagyu cheeseburger served with smoked tomato relish and fries; and brined and roasted spring chicken served with grilled greens and chipotle mayonnaise. A dedicated kid’s menu will ensure Bathers will quickly become a family favourite.
Don’t forget to add on from the innovative cocktail menu, which includes the Lemongrass Refresher, with gin, lemon, lemongrass, and ginger topped with soda water; Lantau Juice with vodka, crème de pêche, cranberry, pineapple and fresh lime; and the Beach Spritz with elderflower liqueur, cucumber, and mint topped with sparkling wine. These refreshing cocktails are also complemented by a list of craft beers and boutique ciders and matched with gourmet snacks, including hot seafood platters and charcuterie.
Beats the hell out of hot crossed buns in bed.
