The new Azimut 68 is a pleasure craft made to meet the varying needs of today’s stylish ocean-going gentleman.
Who doesn’t like to be able to customise things? It doesn’t have to be a big-ticket item – getting your coffee the way you like it, with almond milk and six Splendas can be rather liberating – but when it comes to things with a hefty price tag it’s always nice to have it your way.
Fortunately, you can with the new Azimut 68, a high-tech yacht that comes with three different layouts that allow you to customise your experience at sea.

Designed by Alberto Mancini, the new Azimut 68 raises the bar for innovation and customisation; owners can choose how they will spend their time on the vessel, who they would like to entertain and what activities they will be enjoying, and create a floating gin palace that meets their needs.
In the first layout, an elegant living area is located by the main deck entrance, with the galley tucked away behind an innovative surface of ribbed wood and plexiglass. This solution, called Lanterna, closes the galley off to create privacy but enables the light to flow through the entire space to create a luminous, spacious environment.

For owners who are seeking a more convivial space, the second layout with the open galley version is the ideal solution. The galley is in a discreet location towards the bow but opens directly into the dining area, which can also be converted into a second lounge zone.
Finally, if the owner wants a slightly less formal flow, the aft galley arrangement in the third layout is situated to readily serve indoors and more often outdoors, while keeping the cook connected with the entire social area. The dining area is found immediately across from the galley as you enter from the cockpit, creating a relaxed flow that leads to the living area forward.

Though each layout aims to satisfy the needs of different owners, they have one advantage in common: world-class design. Each Main Deck option has been tastefully integrated into the yacht’s overall design, with Italian designer Mancini carrying on the evolution of the Flybridge Collection by modelling a sleek and streamlined yacht with clean, contemporary lines. These are accentuated by external furniture and interiors by another Italian designer, Achille Salvagni, that are elegant yet functional.
Below deck, four cabins and three bathrooms accommodate up to eight guests in absolute comfort, with a separate area for one or two crew members.
The propulsion package of twin Volvo IPS 1350 pods carries the Azimut 68 up to a brisk maximum speed of 32 knots. The extensive use of carbon fiber in the upper parts, including the superstructure, hardtop, and part of the deck, lend the yacht a low center of gravity, for excellent stability and cruising comfort, even considering the expanded volumes.
