A new collaboration between Aston Martin and Hackett with have you looking the part this Spring.
We like our cars sleek and well-engineered but that doesn’t mean we’re prepared to skimp on clothing. Fortunately, a new clothing line from Aston Martin and Hackett embodies the era of modern power and race technology.
Aston Martin Racing Pro by Hackett is a sportswear collection created in response to Aston Martin’s ‘Track to Tarmac’ road cars and showcases a brand new aesthetic for the two brands. The Spring/Summer 2019 collection takes modern, slim silhouettes, inspired by the lines of the Aston Martin Vantage and adds functional and performance fabrics to create a range with an emphasis on accessible athleisure wear.
The collection, which includes jackets and bags, uses durable water repellent coating, wind-resistant stretch softshell fabric, merino knitwear, lightweight piques, and jersey with stretch, features a colour palette of black that’s complemented by carbon and concrete grey tones touches of whites, and flashes of lime green as seen on the Aston Martin Racing car and uniform.
The line’s pattern – both in terms of texture and print – is another key signature of the Aston Martin Racing Pro by Hackett collection and takes its inspiration from Aston Martin’s use of Sacred geometry, a term the luxury brand uses to reference strong shapes that inspire forms within their car design. Auto house and fashion label have taken the hexagon and used it both in print form and knit fabric texture.
Throw in sleek rubberised branded patches on sleeves and chests, Aqua guard zips provide a technical look and functionality; reverse coil zips with highlight colour teeth; matt rubberised metal press snaps and eyelets; and auto-lock pullers designed to stay in position during running and movement and you’re in for one hell of a season.
