Singapore private member’s space 1880 prepares to open a four-floor club, dining and co-working enclave in Hong Kong
Few cities have a penchant for private clubs quite like Hong Kong. The Fragrant Harbour has more private members clubs than you can shake a black Amex at, from esteemed institutions cloaked in secrecy and ritual, to modern rifts catering to a new generation of would-be members looking for privacy, exclusivity and the opportunity to network with like-minded souls.

The city’s newest hails from Singapore, a city that’s also a fan of exclusive establishments, but this one’s a little different. The new 1880 Hong Kong is slated as a social club that promises to deliver leading hospitality and connection-driven programming, with spaces for members and non-members alike.
Located at Two Taikoo Place, the new venue will including the 1880 Hong Kong members club, located on the fourth floor, which will boast dining and lounge areas, as well as a spa and gym. For those not looking to sign up, the 1880 SOCIAL concept, spread across the venue’s first three floors, will be open to the public, who will have access to eclectic dining, curated drinks, and multi-faceted coworking and event spaces.

In fact, the 1880 SOCIAL space is already slated as the district’s newest dining destination, encompassing a diverse array of culinary options to suit every lad’s palette, including coffee and wine bar The Double, fine-dining restaurant Té Bo, Southeast Asian eatery Hoi Polloi (above), and even The Sports Bar (below), an American-styled diner that will be the hotspot for international sports events.
For those hard at work, the third floor will offer a contemporary working environment, complete with state-of-the-art meeting rooms, a high spec board room, podcast studios, a green screen room, a large-scale conference event space, and an upscale social lounge. In addition, an in-house event concierge team will ensure that 1880 SOCIAL meets the mark for professional gatherings or casual get-togethers.

Then, for would-be members, the 1880 Hong Kong club will feature a signature restaurant outpost, Leonie’s, as well as a spa focused on bio-hacking, and the well-appointed QUARRY Gym, led by professional athlete Max Woodward. In fact, both the spa and gym are accessible to the public community for a fee and at preferential rates for 1880 Hong Kong members.
Both private and public aspects of the new complex will also offer a calendar of exciting events, ranging from thought-provoking talks, parties, and film festivals, to music performances, and immersive experiences that are designed to stimulate both the intellect and senses.
